The one named Xiaomi Magnetic Wireless Power is a 5,000 mAh external battery with a design very similar to Apple’s MagSafe Battery Pack. It has a rectangular format in which its exterior is white, as well as an apparently non-slip back that also includes magnets capable of attaching to compatible iPhone models. That is, the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro, iPhone 13 and 13 Pro and iPhone 14 and 14 Pro. It also charges at a power of 20W.

Xiaomi’s MagSafe battery, yes, has a USB-C port at the bottom, instead of a Lightning connector, like the one included in the Apple battery. It also integrates a button to turn the battery on or off and a pin system to connect the Power Bank itself to a charging station.

In fact, one of the most interesting features of the Xiaomi Magnetic Wireless Power is the possibility to convert it into a wireless charger. You just have to attach it to the base using the pin system, and then place the iPhone on the battery. The battery can also be used as a traditional charging base, simply by connecting the USB-C cable to the connector on the bottom and placing it on a flat surface.

Xiaomi’s Magnetic Wireless Power is available in the Asian market for 199 yuan, about 30 euros to change. It is, without a doubt, a more attractive option to Apple’s MagSafe, which, although it integrates perfectly with the Apple operating system, does not offer a similar capacity or charging power.

Xiaomi’s battery, however, has a tough competitor, Anker’s MagSafe battery. This also has 5,000 mAh, has a compact size and, in addition, an attractive price: it is available for just over 30 euros.
